Finnish writers can spend three months in Buenos Aires, were they will have the chance to live and work in a culturally rich and stimulating environment.
You may apply for:
- one working grant for three months for writers
- working period: August 15th to November 15th
- the working grant amounts to €7,500 per three-month residency
- the amount of travel grant depends on the selected means of travel; see further information from the application guidelines.

The program will be hosted by the Filba Foundation, an NGO that works to promote the circulation of books and literature among diverse audiences in South America. Filba organises one of the biggest literature festivals in the Spanish language, with more than 100 participating authors, and the writers in residency will be a part of the programme. Therefore, it would be beneficial if the selected writers had published in a language such as English, Spanish or French. Filba’s team will receive the writers and help them become acquainted with the local literary scene. The foundation’s offices are located in Eterna Cadencia, one of the most beautiful bookstores in the city.
