Artists and art critics from any field of art are eligible to apply for a grant to cover mobility costs arising from international cooperation taking place outside Finland.

Grant Application Schedule

Mobility grants can be applied for during the March Round of Applications. Applications should be submitted using the Finnish Cultural Foundation’s Online Application Service. Applications close at 4 pm Finnish time on the last day of the application period. The grant decisions will be announced to the applicants by the end of May. A mobility grant may be used only for those mobilities occurring from June onwards. The application period reopens annually in August and March.

Who May Apply

Individual artist, critics, working groups as well as registered organisations such as associations from any field of art are eligible to apply for a Mobility grant.

Applicable Grants

Mobility grants may be sought for expenses ranging from EUR 3,000 to EUR 10,000. The grant can be applied for costs related to international cooperation projects, residencies, exhibition projects, or festival participation.

The grant can be applied for if the stay in the target country lasts continuously for a minimum of two weeks.
