Cultural Foundation’s application period

Finnish citizens, as well as private individuals and organisations residing or operating in Finland are eligible to apply for a grant. Others may also apply if their application has a strong, clear connection to Finland or Finnish culture.

You can apply for a grant for work related to research, science or the arts, as well as for projects and purchases.

In the field of science, we provide funding for doctoral studies and postdoctoral research, research expenses and various research projects and events.

Art grants are awarded to support creative work, to help with project implementation and acquisition costs, as well as the purchase of tools and materials.

Our application guidelines apply to all grants, but additional, more specific instructions are available for some grants.

The available grants and guidelines are confirmed and updated annually before the application period begins.

During the second week of February, you will receive notification of our decision regarding your application via email. You can begin the work for which the grant was awarded in February at the earliest. The expenditure grant may be used for expenses incurred no earlier than the beginning of February.
