Panel discussion for students and the general public: what does freedom mean?
This panel discussion intended for a large audience will offer a broad array of insights on the global power struggle between the US and China, and audience members will also have a chance to participate in a public debate on the freedom of press in the US at Tampere University’s School of Journalism.
Our guest of honour, Kathleen Carroll, will open the discussion. The participants will be Laura Ahva, Professor of Journalism at the University of Tampere; Professor Rick Dunham; Iida Tikka, a correspondent; Markku Mantila, Editor-in-Chief; and Olli Seuri, a journalist and member of the C. V. Åkerlund Media Foundation’s board. Matti Posio, editor-in-chief of Lännen Media and US observer, will moderate the discussion.
