Peer reviewers
The Finnish Cultural Foundation is setting up a broad pool of arts and research experts to peer review grant applications. Each year, we will select the necessary number of experts from this pool to evaluate submitted applications.
For the 2026 application round, we have invited experts from various fields to join the pool. At a later stage, anyone who meets the expert criteria will be able to register.
Evaluation work and criteria
For science and research experts, the criteria are a doctoral degree and active involvement in research. Art experts should generally have at least five years of professional experience in artistic practice, other professional activity or research in their field.
Joining the expert pool does not commit the expert to evaluation work. We will send a separate invitation for each evaluation assignment. Experts selected to review applications will receive remuneration for their work.
An expert may evaluate applications in no more than two application rounds. After their second peer review assignment, they are subject to a three-year period of non-availability.
