Rautavaara’s Variétude for solo
violin at the annual gala. His
instrument was a Stradivarius
owned by the Foundation.
Writer Kaari Utrio
gave a gala address
on Europe’s cultural
heritage.
The Gruppen Fyra dance group
performed a work entitled Vaate-Liike
(Garment–Movement) commissioned
for the occasion about dress, clothing
and street fashion. The costumes
designed by grant-recipient Tomi
Friman were part of the production.
